What is the Bermuda Triangle?

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is a location around North America that has points between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. 

Why is the Bermuda Triangle famous?

Numerous ships and aircrafts have been known to disappear in this area. The most famous case was flight 19 in 1945, where a flight of US Navy bombers flew over the Bermuda Triangle and was never heard from again.

What are some supernatural theories of the Bermuda Triangle?

Some people have speculated that aliens could be involved in the disappearances. Others have mentioned that the lost city of Atlantis could be the source or that there are magnetic anomalies that disrupt the navigation systems. 

Is the location of the Bermuda Triangle more dangerous to navigate through today?

Investigations by the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have said that there’s no evidence to support unusual occurrences. It was also said that the Bermuda Triangle doesn’t statistically have more disappearances than other parts of the ocean. 

But why is the Bermuda Triangle such a topic of conversation?

A big reason why people believe the topic of the Bermuda Triangle is so famous is due to media sensationalism. Writers have been known to fabricate or exaggerate the happenings within the Bermuda Triangle. People have also said that it’s due to the geographic location, where there are more shipments coming and going through the location, so it seems like there are more disappearances than normal.
